I was traveling to take my public service examination, and there was a landslide right in front of us. So, the vehicle couldn’t move forward. As a woman with low vision, I could not dare to navigate such unexpected disruptions, although my exam were important for my career. There’s no clear information, no accessible guidance, and no safe alternatives. I felt helpless, not just because of the landslide, but because the system isn’t built for people like me to take alternatives or to dare to move to the other side somehow.

My sister, who has a physical disability, faces additional mobility challenges during extreme cold weather in the winter. She cannot access water taps or even move out of the house.
